Finally got it finished...i think

Liked the older versions where it was possible to go the the actual schedules/forms and see the finished product. Print function didn't work well at all.
What's great about it: Thorough for home and simple business
What's not so great: Could not see actual forms on line or easily follow input flow thrus to other forms

Love TurboTax!

I have used TurboTax for over a dozen years and can't imagine using anything else. I am self employed plus have two "jobs" and filing my taxes is so easy with this program! LOVE IT!
What's great about it: Easy - step by step
What's not so great: Too many updates
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Great software

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years. Its a great product, easy to use. Sometimes it seems a bit "slow" since its made to be used by the non-tax expert. But it can be frustrating sometimes when you literally have to go through several questions before you can move on. Would be nice to have an "experienced" user version.
But there's no better product out there on the market for do it yourself tax preparation.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Would like less ads or "extra" screens

Turbo charge your taxes

The experience I had with the live support guy ( Richard) was so amazing. This guy likes his job and he is good at it. He went above and beyond his call of duty, led me thru my confusion with out making me feel like an idiot and solved my problems. Richard, you are a terrific guy, thankyou.
What's great about it: very easy, step by step inst.
What's not so great: did'nt run into any cons

Good, Bad, and Ugly

I own rental properties and real for investments. I am a RE broker. I found it confusing when estimating write offs for the rentals versus the write offs for my business. They seem to comingle. I know part of it is the IRS. But explanations need to be clearer. My biggest issue was writeoffs brought forward in Section 179. This year's was unidentifiable and I finally entered zero to get it done.
What's great about it: It walks through everything pretty well
What's not so great: confusing when entering writeoffs between owned properties and the business itself

Turbo Tax IS my accountant for personal taxes....

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. We have a corporation and an accountant that does that return...BUT I have always relied on Turbo Tax for our personal return. Tax law changes every year, but I trust Turbo Tax to keep my return totally legal and updated to the latest laws. So far I have been very pleased. The 'interview' process of providing information is great, and you can skip something and return to it later --Turbo Tax will 'remember' and remind you before you file. I highly recommend Turbo Tax - it's not hard, you do not need to understand tax law....just have your W-2's, 1099's, and 'fill in the blanks' as asked... YOU can do it!
What's great about it: I don't have to know anything...just answer questions
What's not so great: ? need online storage of returns -if computer crashes?

Speedy process

I used to write my own tax software and updated it each year with changes. Finally, I decided that the effort each year was no longer worth it, and I purchased TurboTax. I LOVE IT! It saves me time, study, and effort. It automatically feeds my prior years information. And I feel confident that my taxes are done correctly.
I have bought TurboTax every year since then, and I plan to continue every year in the future.
I also have an LLC and have been using Turbo Tax for that, too.
What's great about it: Clear and concise

I had to call Turbo Tax twice with questions. Both ladies that helped me were credible, quick, professional and mostly nice and patient. I would always suggest TurboTax for a self-employed small business
