Still the best -- after all these years

I've used Turbo Tax every year since Intuit acquired ChipSoft and the experience has gotten better each year. No glitches, stoppages, bugs that prevent one from completing the work. It just works, just like a lot of the Intuit products.
What's great about it: No gltiches, stops -- it just works

Washed Away my Worries!

Turbo Tax was great at helping through all my business information. Sometimes it seemed that it was skipping things, like business mileage, but eventually we got there. Just follow the "Visit All" tabs and you will see and fill in everything that you need to. Up until last year, I was using a different online tax program but I found that they were not up on the latest laws and regulations. When I tested that program against Turbo Tax, I found that I got a bigger refund through Turbo Tax, and that's why I am back with TT this year. I will be using them from now on!
What's great about it: Great business help!
What's not so great: Sometimes things seem a little out of order but it's all there!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Almost great

We have a local transit tax (TriMet Self Employment) that requires separate filing. TT has this and walks you through it, but in the 10 years I have been using TT, this form has NEVER worked. It produces forms with empty fields and I have always had to download the forms from the state and fill them in by hand. After all this time, you'd think they would fix this.
For some reason, TT doesn't always find last year's return and you have to fill in tedious data each time.
Reviewing a completed area walks you through steps you've already completed, even when you ask to look at the result.
I e-filed, but it wouldn't send without an update, then the update crashed. The process of repeated crashes, manually downloading and installing the update, and the one click for an e-file took an hour to complete.
Overall a good product, but it never really gets a result the IRS agrees with. I always owe something or get a refund.
What's great about it: Good at holding your hand
What's not so great: Small glitches

Adjustments CA State from Federal return : easy to understand step by step explanations could be more helpful rather than asking the individual to fill in the data rather than to guide the individual
What's great about it: Easy to understand the walk-through of the steps
What's not so great: I could not think of any

Good, needs sale of rental property help

Overall I do like TurboTax, but it really needs some additional work helping with the walk through of selling a rental property. There are a few forum posts that help walk through the experience, and there is some information on the web. But overall the software needs a wizard for this experience, as the current implementation has all of the pertinent steps and verification spread in different places in the application.
What's great about it: covers the basics, covers ESPP, imports statements from financial institutions.
What's not so great: rental property sale
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great Software. I couldn't imagine doing my taxes without something like this
What's great about it: Simple
What's not so great: Not enough info on potential fines or late filing

OK, but needs serious improvement

As in the past, Turbo tax handles the heavy lifting, but it offers no help at all and demands corrections to things that are not wrong and would not be "corrected" if a paper return were filed. It's particularly bad in handling K-1 reports. Worse, there is nothing to show you where data cam from, and no way to change it. I had to revise K-1 worksheets a dozen or more times to fix the "errors," none of which concern incorrect data or data in the wrong place. The program used to have am "override" feature, but that is gone. All in all, it's not flexible and offers no help, so you're on your own if you have anything even moderately complicated.
What's great about it: organizes the data pretty easily
What's not so great: Not flexible; too many separate worksheets for K-1s; opaque "errors"
