Disappointed Year

The state e-filing was supposed to be available today 2/1/14. I was unable to file for the state. This is rather disappointing because when I do things, I want to do them and be done with it. I hate having to go back and finish part of it. This is annoying!!
What's great about it: UI is getting better
What's not so great: State Electronic uodate is not available on the promised release date

I have paid for for tax prep over the years from multiple businesses. Turbo tax asks the right questions to just get it done properly and get me the consumer the most money back.... Cant thank you enough keep up the great work and effort!!!

I like using TurboTax and have used it for over 8 years. I wouldn't use any other tax software.
What's great about it: Quick guided interviews get your taxes done accurately & fast!
What's not so great: State updates were poor this year.

Cons/Bugs
Didn't end up entering 2012 Local tax paid in 2013

Wasn't obvious that you could enter taxes paid for years prior to 2012 until I just repeated the process and entered 2011. It accepted it. But looking at the screen if didn't say you could enter prior year payments after an IRS audit of the prior year.
Completed first returns using estimated numbers for the Jan 15 last estimated tax payment. After updated with good numbers, wasn't positive they transferred again to State Tax return.
On State Tax return, my spouse's birthdate is listed as the same date as mine. I didn't find a tab to correct that on either the state or federal return personal info section.
What's great about it: Easy to use; gets more familiar the more years you use it
What's not so great: Difficult to locate where to enter unusual situations

Blown Away!

First time using this since starting our own business, and SO much easier than the "other tax program"! This took me step by step through everything. I'll never go back to the "other"!!

Saves me money!

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years now. I opened my own business a few years ago, and upgraded from the lower level Turbo Tax to the Home & Business. I was a little reluctant on doing my own business taxes, but Turbo Tax made it easy. Turbo Tax walks me through step by step on what I can write off, and what I can't. There were a few things I would not have imagined could be a deduction, and a few things I thought would be, that are not. Turbo Tax asked me enough questions about these deductions where I felt more than comfortable about clicking "file" when I was done. Now that I have used Turbo Tax for my business the last couple of years, it has left an impression on my spending that I am able to capitalize on deductions, and not waste money. I will continue to use Turbo Tax as long as it remains affordable. For the 2013 tax season, it is well worth the money. They even showed me how to deduct the price of this software!
What's great about it: Simple to use
