Still Had to Mail In Form after e-file

Have used Turbo-Tax for many years and have always been happy with it. Varying annoying things as noted above. An unusually large "service" charge if I wanted to deduct the e-file charge for state filing from the expected refund!
What's great about it: Complicated tax situation and Turbo-Tax Handled It
What's not so great: State filing required calculations outside of program

I have now been filing for the past few years using turbo tax and like the convenience of having it available any time I need it!
What's great about it: online, easy steps, accurate updates
What's not so great: sometimes hard to correct information

Game Changer

I had a complex challenge with the sale of a second home in Canada. I was led effectively to the support phone line. I connected with Lorraine Zistler who relentlessly drove through the process. What little she (understandably) did not know, she followed up on with others at Turbotax and called me back. I got real answers in a timely manner. Also, Lorraine's manner was highly effective. She was patient and effective.
Also, beyond Lorraine's help, the overall complexities of the return I never could have overcome on my own without Turbotax. I saved substantial dollars compared to hiring a CPA. I also saved enormous time. I am now a vocal advocate. Thanks!
What's great about it: My son was not kidding. The program walked me right through it.
What's not so great: there are quirks that are not obvious

2013 Tax Review

Overall, the program is ideal for those of us who are not bookkeepers or accountants. It is easy to use, organized and extremely helpful. Makes filing taxes easy compared to an awful chore as in days of old. Its worth the money. Thank you!!
What's great about it: Ease of use with step by step instructions
What's not so great: Not being an accountant, some data entry for business portion is aa bit confusing

When inputting amounts paid with extensions, it would only allow me to designate one state. I filed extension outside TurboTax as some info was missing and I used my own tax estimation worksheets. Did a work around by saying I wanted to file an extension on the other state, put in the amount, then it had both states.
What's great about it: I have a significant return and a solid understanding of taxes. TurboTax just keeps getting better and better.
What's not so great: Only allows for amount paid with extension on one state even though I already had download two states.
