Great product!

Good product. We have used for 4 years now. Like the flexibility of it and the ability to review info.
What's great about it: Very user friendly. Works well with Quickbooks
What's not so great: Need to have some accounting knowledge

I have used TurboTax since the DOS days. My accountants do the hard stuff (schedule Ks, corporate returns...) and I assemble it in TurboTax. My biggest complaint is that Turbo tax often leads me through a worksheet and seemingly gleefully tells me that I am not qualified due to my income level. It seems to me that Turbo Tax knows my income since it asks for that to be entered first and could easily flag those things that I am not going to qualify for and not waste my time. The same goes for things like asking if I bought a car on the sales tax form when I have seemingly maxed out the deduction (since the amount I spent quite some time digging for made no difference). I really don't think they have thought out doing taxes for high earners. I understand that the only way to be sure of most of it is to go through everything BUT it seems to lead me on several pointless pursuits each year. All in all, I like it and will continue to use it but it really could use some work in the arena of not leading higher earners through pointless forms..
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Takes you through worksheets and then tells me I am not qualified ...

On each page remind customer to "Keep making, it will make sense later."
In the review section, when there are errors are items not entered, have an instant back button that will take you back to the place where the correction has to be made.
Have a page print button for each section where numbers have been added. This will make it a lot easier to correct errors.

What's great about it: Ease of entering data and it usually makes good sense.
What's not so great: When it doesn't make sense it is difficult to figure out what is going on

Suggestions for becoming a 10+

My suggestions would make your product a 10+
1. Add an icon/tab to be able to print the screen as seen,
2. Alphabetize the Contributions List--this is always a slow up,
3. Reduce time scrolling, have the screen/program return to the next entry or the one just completed in the income and expenses areas.

Pleased with process

What's great about it: Handles home & business issues well.
What's not so great: Glitches - wanted me to fill out Schedule F, didn't ask about my payment with extension.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Street way to do taxes

What's great about it: There is always help available for questions
What's not so great: Turbo Tax can't do my taxes without me. LOL

Easy to navigate and understand

All the tools are there to guide you through completing your taxes. It is quick and easy to navigate. It is worth the price. You can smoothly transition from one year to the next.
What's great about it: logical progression for doing taxes
What's not so great: add a visual "tick" when you have backup info on entries
