Turbotax rocks!

Turbotax makes all the details involved in taxes much easier. I'm sure I would have missed all the extra forms needed to put down all my information.
What's great about it: It takes me thru all the areas that I would have missed
What's not so great: Nothing against Turbotax, I just hate doing taxes!

Printing Forms

Printing forms could be reduced one more time, I think that the 'review forms is not necessary. I usaully go to 'Forms' if I want to review.
What's great about it: This year at printing, it took less clicks to get to print forms.
What's not so great: Printing 'Review Forms'

I think the surprise charge for electronic filing of federal and state returns (1 each) is not a good business practice.

I prefer to file by mail, not electronically. I can't remove the "Do not file" watermark on the CA state return and it's so frustrating this is not saving me any time. The problem makes no sense to me, and I find no solution to this problem in your program or on line. Can I get a refund? I've heard Tax Act works with fewer problems.

I tried and tried using auto help with no luck. With the help of support, I was able to fix the problem and get my taxes done and with peace of mind that it was done right. Thank you!
What's great about it: when i had trouble and support had trouble they stayed with me and got it fixed

Total pita if you're running XP

I've used Turbo Tax for years. It works mostly but this year wouldn't install on XP. I ended up using my laptop with a Win 8 partition but all of my records are on the other machine.
TTax becomes more proprietary each year. I'm looking at alternatives & will use something else next year.
What's great about it: stay away if you're on XP
What's not so great: wouldn't install, tech support knows & fix is MIA
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
