Sales Tax

TurboTax told me to ask for email when sales tax calculator was available from IRS. Never got an email. Had to go to the IRS web site for calculation and entered it manually on Schedule A.
What's great about it: Gets easier every year. Loved the e-file and auto-pay
What's not so great: No sales tax calculator.

I've use TurboTax for many years. I continue to buy it rather than use a free copy because it seems so much easier. This year, it took only about an hour to complete and file.

Major problem with updates

In all the years I have used TurboTax, I have never had the problems trying to update this software that I did this year. I had to update by becoming the system administrator and running the program in that mode, this was after uninstalling the program and reinstalling! Also, when I tried to view the forms directly, the program crashed every time. If next year's version is as bad as this year's, I will go to another product.
What's great about it: Program worked perfectly UNTIL update section
What's not so great: Update section was horrible

Amazing Customer Service!

I have completed my family's taxes for the past three years and always found Turbo Tax to be the quickest and painless method in filing. This year I was presented with some questionable issues and although I breezed through my federal returns, I had an issue with my state returns. After printing my state tax return and reviewing the document, I felt extremely uncomfortable mailing the document so I contacted Turbo Tax and providing my situation is unique, I have never found a company that would stay on the line with you step by step for over three hours. I had the pleasure of working with Karon stationed in Colorado. She was absolutely wonderful and given the time, very patient with my issue. She made sure she was there till the very end when I hit by print button. I highly recommend Turbo Tax if you are the kind of person who likes to see your finances through compared to having someone else do it for you, not to mention being in the comfort of your own home (especially while you have two children running around on a dreary day). I will continue using Turbo Tax with the utmost confidence years to come. Thank you Karon!!!!!

Using Turbo Tax is always enjoyable. It does everything without me having to understand the tax codes, what an eligible deduction is, or where to find the answer to a question.
The "back" feature takes you back to the beginning of a section and will not let you return to where you were.
At the end, TT asks me to let it do my Florida state taxes. TT should be smart enough to know that Florida does not have state taxes.
What's great about it: Liked almost all of the features
What's not so great: Did not like the "Back" feature or it asking to do my state taxes.

Each step was made easy by the software . I could make an entry stop come back couple of hours or days later and start where I had left off. VERY user friendly.

Good, reliable, TurboTax

I have used Turbo Tax ever since it came on the market years ago and I return every year. I have had difficult returns with schedules and multiple forms to my more recent easy returns.
Either way, I am able to do my returns in about 1-3 hours depending on complexity. I have yet to have any problems. Having done my returns by hand before Turbo Tax came along, I am so grateful for Turbo Tax.
It's a great product and easy to purchase.
What's great about it: Fast, Efficient, Knowledgeable
What's not so great: Explanations don't often speak to common person.
