Using Turbo Tax Basic Edition

I can't say that I found any problems with my TT package this year.
I bought the TT Basic and it was every bit the performer as the TT Deluxe package. I have been using Intuit products since 2000 or earlier. So I love the great product and ease of filing that I have experienced over the years. Thank you for a user friendly tool in which to file my taxes. Sincerely, Lorraine Savage
p.s. I lost my prior year package and received 1st class help from Turbo Tax in software and helping me reconstruct it. (I had a hard copy to go by, but without the software, there was no data to roll over into the 2013 forms.) Thank YOU TT! Hallelujah!

What's great about it: Cost less than TT Deluxe
What's not so great: Little lost on filing and printing at the end of filing in the forms.

love it each year. easy for ours. Basic version is cheaper but much harder to find. Most could get by with that.
What's great about it: smooth, few problems
What's not so great: advise confusing on laptop, books college deduction
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Suggestions for improvement

I appreciate being able to carryforward from the prior year. It helps me keep things straight.
The depreciation for 50% property does not seem to work and I have to override the numbers.

Also, please inclued form 1045 and instructions.
What's great about it: easy to use; carryforward from prior year is great
What's not so great: does not handle splitting depreciation and missing Form 1045

I owed a bundle but easy to pay

I had a knot in my stomach because I'd simply forgotten it was tax day. Ran out and purchased Turbo Tax and the whole process only took a couple hours from going to the store, returning, and filing. And although I owed nearly $4K, they made it easy for me to charge it. I found even the 2.49% fee acceptable considering my forgetfulness. I am pleased, the knot is gone, and all is well.
What's great about it: the process was quick and easy to follow

TurboTax claims to be an easier and more accurate way to prepare taxes. however, others make the same claim yet at about half the cost.
What's great about it: I like the ease of entering ingormation. Getting a pin number through TurboTax was easier than getting one by phone.
What's not so great: when entering the information one does not know what forms the info will be entered on until near the completion of the

We rely on Turbo Tax for dependable, accurate information and ease of use. It saves lots of time, and headaches!
We do wish we could to an exact item when making a correction or filling in a missed number. For example, when we received a copy of our taxes paid on a rental property, we had to go through many pages to get to that one line.
What's great about it: Choice of srep-by-step or explore on your own
What's not so great: Many redundant steps, and commercials.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
