Almost effortless!

I've used TurboTax for 11 consecutive years. It's come a long way. I especially like the import features for 1099 forms as well as the guidance for Schedule C. Big thumbs up!
What's great about it: Fast, concise, accurate
What's not so great: None that I can think of....

This is the worst experience with TurboTax I've ever had.
What's great about it: Started off fine.
What's not so great: It stalled when I had to wait for the info from IRS. Too long.

Makes sense out of our dysfunctional tax code

As sick as this may sound, I actually look forward to doing my taxes with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: Need to have "Third Party Designee" in the step-by-step process.

program could not handle IP Pin

I submitted the e-file using only the pin number. IRS asked for the ip pin and rejected the file.
The program forced me to file a 1040X by mail because IRS thought it was an amended return.

I have used turbo tax for many years now and am always pleasantly surprised when I come across a tax issue that I haven't had before and turbo tax can tell me how to handle it.

Worked great with my new computer

I bought a new computer in September last year. I installed Turbo Tax on the new computer and moved last year's return from the old computer. All data was retrieved from the 2012 return successfully, a seamless transition. Now I need to clean up old Turbo Tax applications on the old computer. I might need help from the Turbo Tax genius for this. I have used Turbo Tax for twelve years with 100% success. Thanks.
