Easy-peasy!

Started my return after dinner and before the prime-time TV shows were on, I was done! The guides were great and the "Explain More" tabs were very informative. TT even helped me get back money I didn't know I had coming. Will be using again next year and the year after that...
What's great about it: Step-by-step guides, ability to jump back and forth
What's not so great: Still need to be somewhat knowledgeable to fill out more complicated returns
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Completing the Capitol gains section was very difficult and extremely time consuming. Had a hard time following your instructions and matching them to the Broker's forms (1099 B). For example, your original instructions had no provisions for class "D" & "E" I had to put them under class"B". Also Turbo Tax does not like Various for a date. Under the corrections section I tried to put in various but it won't take it so I had to FUDGE a date.
Once I received the update instructions on 3/3/2014, I understood the process much better and it would have taken me a LOT LESS TIME. It certainly made a lot more sense. Most importantly, the update MISCALCULATED my entries and double booked a sale of a stock. This had a significant impact on the amount of tax I would have had to pay. Since I noticed the significant change in the tax amount I went back and re-proofed the return (MORE TIME) to find the error made by the system.

Also required street address for payer on 1099r form but payer only provided box and mail stop
What's great about it: does arithmatic & special forms --e.g. SS & qual dividednd
What's not so great: took longer than by hand due to irrelevancies

Tax History report is incorrect. One item, AMT are shown in wrong years. To be specific, my AMT amount for 2012 was shown in column for 2009. Have used Turbo Tax for many years. Great product.

I started with Turbotax way back when Parsons Technology was purchased. I have looked at the other online tax software over the years and Turbotax worked for me. I am not a paid preparer, but I do come from a large close family and do the taxes for most of my family brothers and sisters as they help me in areas where I am not as proficient.
What's great about it: It is just easy to follow. I use it every year and there is never any drastic changes

Asking r $$$ on every household return, on download version - NOT HAPPY with turbo tax this year (2013)

What's not so great: Download version in NOT good - CD (in store) versin may be good
