Not the usual quality

Disappointing experience this year. The program crashed multiple time while doing the return, but was able to recover from where it left off. Very annoying that the sales tax calculator did not work and the program tried to blame it on the IRS. After several update attempts the sales tax calculator started to work but some screens did not seem to know the sales tax deduction was now in the return. Some questions and items were misleading and raised questions in my mind about the accuracy of the return. Overall a bad experience and I certainly not up to the quality of prior year products.
What's great about it: same appearance as previous versions
What's not so great: sales tax calculator was missing, did not update on first use

Love using Turbo Tax

I have been using Turbo Tax for 10 years now and it is so nice to know that I can depend on it to do my taxes! So easy to use and I love the fact that it keeps my prior year information and brings it forward the next year.
What's great about it: So easy to use

I was friggin nervous filing for the first time, but they really guide you along at your own pace. Everything is gone over so you don't miss a step or document. I gladly rate it five stars.

The only way I can do my taxes

Excellent experience to an unpleasant and confusing process. Would dread having to do my taxes manually with pencil and calculator. Love the autodownload of info from financial institutions, and wish this could be done with military and retired pay. Hope that when I retire next year, the process for entering IRA and retirement distributions will be as easy. Next year will probably try the online version since I am moving away from CD/DVD drives on computers; hope it's a painless experience. I do almost all my computing on Linux (Ubuntu/Linux Mint), and only use Windows now for TurboTax and one other program. I'm hopeing to see a Linux capable version of TurboTax in the future.
What's great about it: E-filing included, auto fill fields with info from prior years, complete array of questions.
What's not so great: No Linux version. I am moving away from Windows and would love an Ubuntu/Linux Mint version.

I totally recommend TurboTax as it is easy to use and follow and allows you to go back and edit every section as needed. Used it for the last 10 years or better.

Flawless

I've used TurboTax basic since 2005. It really is flawless and makes doing taxes a breeze. Especially like comparing against previous year since most things carry over, which makes spotting errors easy.
