I liked not having to enter all the info off the W-2 form and when I had a question on where to put an entry I could ask Turbo Tax and they would guide me.
What's great about it: Filed in info from last years filing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using tax for ten years but will probably not try it again, it took me four days normally took4 hours.
What's great about it: most of was good
What's not so great: I needed form D for my 1099B or buy priemer tax packet
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Have used TurboTax for several years. I like it!

Turbo Tax has been nothing but trouble the last few years
Last year the forms you said were ok to print and mail were incomplete to the IRS. I was audited and it took months to clear the return,
Also it is near impossible to jump from one form to another in preparing the return
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have chosen to buy turbo tax even though my taxes are simple .... It just makes one feel good to know the calculations are always correct..
What's great about it: Ease of use ..... confident in accuracy ........ time saver

I thought that TurboTax would recognize that this year my income will increase when I turn 70.5 yrs. old because I'll be taking distributions from the principal of my IRA. It'll have an impact on my taxes, too.
What's great about it: Ease of record entries; TurboTax keeps prior 1040 information

This gets confusing

I like Turbo Tax. I really do. But this year was the first year in a long time that I actually got confused while using it. I don't know if they tried to make it too user friendly and somehow started down a line of "Don't worry about it" fill-ins.
Other than that, it was an ok program.
What's great about it: I didn't have to figure out 1099 DIV Forms
What's not so great: Turbo Tax would put a zero amount in that then would have to be corrected for a blank amount
