We used to have sufficient itemized deductions to claim them. Now we just use the standard deduction. It took less then an hour to do this. A lot of info came in direct from the computer. I only had to type in a few items. Makes it very fast and easy.

great product ,,used for the last 5 years Only drawback is constantly asking you to upgrade the features. If I wanted to use efile for my state I would have bought the deluxe version originally, but I can efile in Penna. for free anyway
What's great about it: easier to understand than taxact
What's not so great: constantly asking for more money for more features
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Simple Is Good

I can't imagine researching all the forms needed for my return. The right ones were found for me and made available in the background. All I have to do is provide the data requested...really like this. The whole experience is as professional as sitting across the desk from a CPA. Well done Intuit!
What's great about it: Bringing history forward is great first step.
What's not so great: Being re-asked questions I already answered.

The best TurboTax experience yet!

I've used TurboTax for over 15 years. About 10 years ago, I tried another brand, hated it, and had to re-enter all my basic info the following year because TurboTax couldn't recognize the other software (I have a large family). Two years ago, I used an accountant, but got less back. Once again, TurboTax would not recognize my info from two years earlier, so I had to enter everything again. :( I'm glad to see that it now takes the info from that other software, should I ever stray again.
This year, the taxes were done in no time, even though they are not simple at all. I started this afternoon, and e-filed a few minutes ago. I have never started and finished in the same day, so I'm thrilled!

What's great about it: Quick; Thorough; Easy to Navigate

You may be able to file your taxes elsewhere for free but I trust TurboTax as I have for the previous two years and will continue to do so in the future. My advise to ANYONE wanting an easy way to (securely) do your taxes is to use TurboTax. Period.
What's great about it: Quick, simple, accurate.
What's not so great: none from me

Love using Turbo Tax - pulls last years information into the return to save time - provides comparisons to last year to make sure you are doing everything correctly - faster refunds...

User-friendly submission

Once I figured out how to overcome the initial installation error, the software worked reliably and clearly. I almost threw in the towel when the installation failed the fifth time I tried. I felt that that part of the product needed better testing or else more user-friendly support.
The gathering of information for the actual federal and state tax document was straightforward and familiar since this is the second time I have used the product. The only difficulty I had was in not knowing the combined state and local tax rate, and I felt that a link might have been provided to find that out without going outside the product. After all, you do have my address there as part of the already input data.
What's great about it: Asked only what was needed, went step-by-step, software had no glitches that I encountered
What's not so great: Installation failed in the beginning and the reason was unclear.
