Stooopid-est program EVER!

I could go on-an-on about the multiple defects, but THIS one was the worst: Didn't remember I'd e-filed.
I entered wrong SSN, e-filed, got the rejection, and upon going back into TT and correcting my SSN, it "forgot" that I'd e-filed. Instead of working from the invalid filing, it wanted to file again. STOOOOPID-EST ever!!!
What's not so great: Doesn't work for most things
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: The step by step guides and assistance with errors
What's not so great: Updates should be done at the beginning not the end of the process as that made it confusing.

Basic Review

I continue to find Turbo Tax Basic a useful tool for our family's needs. However, when an error is found, it would be helpful to link the error to the step by step section. I had some info that I thought was deleted that ended up generating a 8919 Form. I spent time trying to go through the step by step to find the error and delete it again. I finally went to the Form view and deleted the form. It took me a while to figure it out, and easy pop ups or just a link from error to step by step section would have saved me that headache.
What's great about it: Simple from user perspective.
What's not so great: Error help needed.

electronic transfer did NOT work

For electronic transferred followed all instructions including getting Fed PINS & correct routing number for Bank of America's web site. Error said "need updates, go to Main Menu". Did that but there were no updates, tried several times. but got error msg each time. Your web site solution was to reinstall & wipe out files, NOT a solution and would most likely result in same except I would have to reenter everything. Your help site also said that you have gotten several similar complaints Most likely a major bug that you didn't test using a Mac.
What's great about it: easy to follow, complete
What's not so great: electronic transfer do NOT work on MAC.

I don't really have any real pros and cons because this is my very first time using Turbo Tax. I will say that it was easy to follow. I will use it again next.
