I am doing this for my mother who is in a nursing home and the only income is social security. Turbotax is no help when I try to file electronically, giving me the list of zero balance fields and saying it cannot be filed electronically. Then it tells me that I MIGHT have to file a paper return and that's all the guidance I receive. Either I do or I don't is the answer I need. I see other users have the same complaint.
I also don't like the way it handles the printing of the return where it will not print directly. I have to use Adobe to print the PDF file. This is too much extra work.
Next year will try the H&R Block version to see if it is easier to work with.
What's great about it: Easy to follow the bouncing ball
I like using Turbo Tax but wish it did not put the extra cost of filling a state return tax if u do not need to file a state return. I lost money because of this and ask that you take this into consederashion when designing turbo tax systems.
Some people have a difficult time reading the small fonts used. It would be VERY helpful if you could offer the capability to INCREASE the FONT size for data entry. It was a struggle to read the screen (YES, I DO have a large (30inch) monitor already.....Did NOT help my eyes and brain read the screen). HELP, PLEASE!
