Hate Hate Hate the new Turbo Tax! Finally reached someone who was a pleasure to work with and helped me with an easier form .
What's great about it: easy step by step does'nt give you any more than you need

I may have missed a step by not going through the step by step. The Basis for Spouse's IRA didn't automatically transfer over. I went to Help on the Form 8606, and was able to follow the instructions to recover the data from 2012. All's well that ends well.
Note: It would be nice to have a Form 8606 produced for Spouse and Taxpayer once a Basis is established for both. I am going to have to print the IRA work sheet to keep track of the Taxpayer basis, since he made no withdrawal from an IRA in 2012.

What's great about it: Makes filing a breeze. Good walk-thru coaching for any level of experience
What's not so great: had a little trouble with form 8606 this year. Had to recover data from 2012.

I've used Turbo Tax now for about 5 years and love the program. It is quick and efficient and has many options to suit everyone. My only issue is that the I lacked 2 forms to complete my taxes and had to wait for them to be available. I don't think that it was anything to do with Turbo Tax. It fell on the government for not having their tax forms ready for tax season.
What's great about it: The ease and efficiency of turbo tax
What's not so great: The fact that I had to wait for forms for a week

Why did I wait so long

I was skeptical for a few years. Now I kicking myself in the butt for not using turbotax sooner. I don't see myself using anything else in the future to file.

A complete tax software program

I tried another cheaper tax software program first and that was a mistake. It did not have all of the forms I needed so I purchased TurboTax. TurboTax asked many additional questions. One specific question increased my refund by a substantial amount. This is a quality tax software program. I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Very easy to use

Always "Spot On"

As usual, Easy and enjoyable experience. This year however, the program skipped over the option for my paid home taxes. I had to go back and find the place to enter them, but it was pretty easy since I have been using Turbo Tax for so long. But, the new users may not know that it was missed. You might want to see if there is a software glitch or if I just missed it. Over all, A GREAT EXPERIENCE as usual. Thank you.

Turbo tax made filing my taxes very easy and saved me the expense of paying someone else to do it!
