Vanished 2012 and 2011 files

I've used Turbo Tax since 2000 and it's kept track of IRAs and depreciation on business expenses. Suddenly this year, my last two years tax files were missing. I found many other people complained of the same on the online forums. TT insisted it was user error, yet that was impossible since I saved my 2012 repeatedly as I have a complex tax return and work on it over several weeks. Plus, my 2011 had been there last year to guide me in doing 2012. With both years returns missing, I had to rely on the pdf files as well as typing in all that information. TT ought to make a fix to allow conversion back to turbo tax, and also work to figure out why so many people this year are discovering missing files, or files where all the data suddenly disappears.
What's great about it: quick, accurate, and convenient to download 1099s
What's not so great: company won't address glitches of past year's files
Pros: I bought or sold investments

2013 tax via turbo tax basic

Easy to use. I attempted to file electronically several times and downloaded updates several times but it never went through.

Trusted for years

I have trusted TurboTax for years. It makes a difficult tax better. It helps clarifiy the forms, checks my math and sends my information electronically. It costs far less than having someone else do it for me. I would not know how to do my taxes without it now, especially since my life has changed and tax laws of changed. I love TurboTax and more than that I trust it.
What's great about it: Knows all the right questions to ask. the program is very patient as I find the documentation and have to make updates.
What's not so great: It cannot always give me a refund.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Too dumbed down, too many useless questions.

Overall too many useless questions. I spent time answering many questions and then find answer is does not apply or you do not qualify (not even close !!).
Med deduction first question should be "does expense exceed 10% of income". Itemize deduction first question should be "Do itemized exceed $12K. Education expense first question should be "is he a college student:.
Please give some high level/what if/trial tables before require the details.Especially on deductions/credit. Use the info provided so far (ex income, age of dependents, ....) to determine if the questions are relevant.
What's great about it: Importing last year
What's not so great: too many useless questions

Simple to use, just answer the questions as presented you and fill in the amounts required.
What's great about it: Very simple to use, accurate
What's not so great: None that I have run into in all the times I have used TurboTax
