Great Product

It's very easy to use. It walks me thru the steps, to make sure I enter everything I possibly can. It keeps track of my information from year to year, which helps me see if I've missed something, and helps me make sure my numbers are correct. It can even import a lot of the information, which helps reduce error. I like it so much, this is my fifth (at least) year using it. And, as a fairly literal person, I love the way it says: Just a moment; Well, we know it's taking more than a moment; We're almost done. It really helps put up with any delay.
What's great about it: very easy to use. finds lots of credits. makes it almost as easy to file as 1040EZ.
What's not so great: well, you do have to buy it.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I think your fee for the state filing is outrageous! Indiana has a pretty simple tax form and its not worth it at all. Last year I tried efiling with Turbotax and getting the rebate was hassle. Never again!

In Round Numbers...
on April 13, 2014

Turbo Tax certainly helps me insure that I don't forget anything, but I am sometimes confused when Turbo Tax numbers don't agree with numbers from my spreadsheet.
Rounding might have helped a bit when we used a pencil and pad to do the necessary computations, but I can see no advantage to rounding when speedy computers are doing the computations for us. And the rounding sometimes makes it harder to verify from whence the numbers are coming.
You should at least consider holding off on the rounding until the final result is to be entered on an official IRS form. Frankly, I don't even see a need for rounding then.
At the very least, you should give the user the option of choosing whether to round off numbers at all.
Thanks for considering my requests. Ole Timer
What's great about it: Turbo Tax helps make sure all bases are covered.
What's not so great: Premature rounding of entered amounts.

Easy Tax Management

It is unreasonable to think that people wont need to file a state return, so having an additional cost for the first state return is ridiculous. It should be included in the base price of the product.
I love using Turbo Tax, it is very easy.
What's great about it: Easy to use and thorough
What's not so great: additional prices for state returns and efiling
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

stress free filing for a free lancer
on April 13, 2014

I am a free lance musician and babysitter while I went back to school for medical assisting. I only had 2 W2s and a 1098-T and most of my wages came from babysitting so I always stress out because I don't fit in the conventional boxes. Turbo tax was like an old friend who walked me through the process gently. I liked that it asked for information, but took the time to let you know the topic and data would be revisited at a later time. Turbo tax kept me informed and relieved a lot of stress. I would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone!!!
What's great about it: easy peasy
What's not so great: didn't know i had to keep scrolling down
