My refund experiance with turbotax was awesome

I totally loved it. It seems that every year it keeps getting better and easier. I would love to have a section to be able to scan the W-2 forms for that year and add it to the total tax returned saved file. This way all of the supporting paperwork is on one file rather than two or three, etc...
What's great about it: very user friendly, easy
What's not so great: none

I'VE USED TURBOTAX FOR INCOME TAX FILING FOR THE LAST 10 TO 15 YEARS... THEIR SOFTWARE IS SO EASY TO USE I CANNOT IMAGINE ALL THESE PEOPLE STILL GIVING THEIR MONEY AWAY ON A SIMPLE 1040A. I USED IT FOR MY HUSBANDS BUSINESS AND NEVER HAD ONE PROBLEM.. EVERYONE OWES IT TO THEM SELF TO TRY THIS PRODUCT..
What's great about it: ACCURACY OVER THE YEARS
What's not so great: NONE

Why can't they cut to the chase?

I've used TTAX for a number of years now but what I don't understand is why they make you input every single deduction only to tell you that you're better off taking the standard deduction. Once they know your income, ask, do you have medical expenses that are more than $XXXX.00 dollars? Did you make charitable donations that totaled more than $XXXX.00? If the numbers close, input all the stuff, otherwise, it's the standard deduction. It would save a lot of time.
What's great about it: Walked me thru everything from last year.
What's not so great: I took standard deduction after entering countless, laborious, entries

Turbo Tax is Great
on April 14, 2014

One of the best things is that it loads last year's review and uses that as a starting place, so you don't have to reenter a bunch of information it already knows about. My taxes have about the same structure each year, so this makes it super easy. We moved last year, so that changed some things, but it was still very easy. Will always use Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Walk through of all the details, explanations of what is going on
What's not so great: Some of the paths through items can be confusing
Pros: I moved

I have been using TurbiTax since 2000. I Never had any problems or audits whatsoever. I tried the "other" program once, because it was a bit cheaper, but there was no comperisson, TurboTax was and still is far superior. Worth every penny.
What's great about it: Fast, Accurate, Inexpensive,
What's not so great: Absolutely NONE

Need better checking

I feel that the review should have caught that I had no state tax entry from the prior year, either additional income or a payment. I have been making state payments for several years, so there was history in TurboTax. I was manually reviewing the return and my 2013 payments when I caught the check for the prior year state taxes due. I'm not sure how this was missed during the step-by-step process (which I went through), but the final review should have alerted me to check my prior year state tax transactions.
What's great about it: I liked the very good explanations and examples
What's not so great: The review missed my state tax payment
