Just as in years past, I did not have any difficulty doing my taxes with Turbo Tax. Only regret is that I don't have more dollars in the refund calculations. Seems as though that amount just gets smaller and smaller.
What's great about it: Even easy when you are 71 yrs old
Was filing with online version, and was prompted to upgrade to Home Business edition. Since I have been using since 2003 and never had to do this in order to file a schedule c, I decided to call customer service. The girl sent me a download link for the desktop version and I e-filed from my desktop...problem solved.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, familiar
What's not so great: No schedule C in Basic online version
I have used Turbo Tax for several years now and I am very satisfied with the program. I like the way it walks a person through all the tax forms line by line so that you have a chance to enter everything that pertains to you and nothing gets forgotten, yet still allows you to skip a line or form that you know does not apply to you. I feel much more confidant that my taxes are complete since I started using Turbo Tax in 2003. Before 2003 I always did my own taxes because I did not trust accountants since you and not the preparer are the one on the hook if your taxes are wrong. But I trust Turbo Tax to ask me all the right questions and give me a look at all I should consider so I don't miss anything.
What's great about it: Systematic proceedure through filling out the tax forms so nothing gets forgotten.
What's not so great: Failure to automatically take me back on forms that changed after the program updated.
