What's great about it: Great basic program. Gets better each year.
What's not so great: Confused in entering the 6 digit and 5 digit pins on a joint return when only one affected by id theft

Turbo tax software better than any tax professionals. I always get more refund than any other tax account can offer.

Excellent

Very fast. Very easy to use. As a retired guy who had to go back to work, I have special problems. TurboTax seems to deal with them with no problems.
What's great about it: Very clear. Carried forward all of last year's info.
What's not so great: I always use standard deduction. I didn't see the option to go directly to standard deduction.

Quick and easy

Previous years showed the simple method calculations. This year, turbo tax did it behind the scene and I wasn't sure if it was done at all until the return was completed.
What's great about it: The question and answer format is really good.
What's not so great: The question regarding taxable amout of a government annuity.

After thirty plus years with Turbotax in one form or another (Basic, Deluxe, Premier, or Home and Business), 2013's tax experience went smoothly as always.
At this point, Turbotax Basic now does what I need done -- even though we have a dozen or more stock dividends each year, a regular sale of mutual fund stocks for retirement income, and a gross income of $160,000.
Since it's been a while since I used one of the more expensive editions, I can't say that it might not be even easier with one of them -- but for me now, Basic is more than sufficient. (I'm no longer running my own post retire-retirement business that was one of the reasons for my past use of other Turbotax versions.)
I don't use Turbotax's state program because Connecticut has its own online format that's simple to use with Turbotax data from my Federal Filing.
Can't imagine why anybody would require more than Turboax to prepare his/her taxes, and I recommend it highly for all taxpayers
What's great about it: Easy to use overall, accurate and dependable.
What's not so great: Occasionally, for me at least, some imperfect understanding of relationships among different forms.
