OK If You Can Install!

Could not install from CD and had to do research on the web to identify the issue and fix. After downloading the patched installation from Intuit things worked fine.
What's great about it: After installing worked well and provided functionality similar to previous years.
What's not so great: Severe installation problems.

Excellent Program

I have been using Turbo Tax for years. Several years ago I tried several programs and selected Turbo Tax as the best. It has saved me numerous hours of manually entering information on the tax forms. I find the downloading of information very useful.
What's great about it: Saves time, enhances accuracy, saves hours of work, computations, and research.
What's not so great: Not very clear on complex forms such as partnership K-1s

My tax situation is complex enough that I use a professional preparer. However, I find that Turbo-Tax allows me to assemble significant amounts of detail (such as charitable contributions, educational expenses, real estate tax deductions etc.) in a computer readable format that he can then easily import into his tax-prep software. If this saves him a few hours of inputting time, it cuts my bill for his services substantially, so the investment in the software pays for itself. I do not trust it enough, however, to report my trust earnings and that sort of thing.
What's great about it: Helps assemble all the basic information in organized fashion.
What's not so great: Is sometimes a little glitchy.

Easy 1-2-3 filing

Best tax preparation software I used since 1997.
What's great about it: Guided walk throughs of each topic

Massachusetts State Tax - Be More Honest!

After spending a lot of time on the web looking things for Massachusetts requirements over I learned two things:
1) My daughter doesn't need to file because she doesn't make enough money. I sure would have been ticked off if I had bought the package from you for Massachusetts and then found out she didn't need to file because she didn't make enough money. You could have saved me a lot of time if you would have told me that up front. I think your software should be able to tell me that.
2) Massachusetts has a free online package of its own. Might not be as good as yours, but maybe you could let people know? Not very honest on your part.
