Yeah Federal Taxes are done!

I liked having the search icon to find things. The help center was great! It helped answer the questions I had, otherwise I would not have been able to finish the taxes until Monday, because I would have had to talk with "Loan Services" at my bank.
Unfortunately, this is now the 2nd year in a row where we could not e-file and have to print out another copy - use our ink. Which is very expensive and we just replaced them all. Now I have to have my hubby do the leg work and go to the post office. We may decide not to do Turbotax next year because of this fact. It's a huge time saver, not to mention it allows us to get our money back sooner. We expected we would be able to take advantage of and we couldn't.
What's great about it: Help Center and Search

Quick and Easy!

Turbo Tax made preparing our taxes easy and quick. It stepped us through it with understandable language and many checks for accuracy.

Filing is a breeze

I have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years of tax returns. I have never had a problem with my returns or the IRS. Even when I sold several shares of stocks, Turbo Tax helped explain every thing clearly and my return was accurate. Online help always answers my questions completely.
What's great about it: Convenient, easy to use and always accurate
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Missing forms

Should make it easier to include additional forms such as 5329. Found contradictory advice and no way to access from the program.

Great except for the sales tax part

the sales tax form was not available and I had purchased two big ticket items this year

Good but comes up short on entering MLP sales

I filed my first Turbotax return in 1997 and fell in love with how easy it was to enter the information and file my return. It's only gotten better over the years. My returns are getting a little more complicated now so I'm hoping TT will keep up with the complexity of my return.
What's great about it: Very easy to enter information for the most part. Very intuitive and helpful
What's not so great: Sale of MLP stocks very difficult to figure out how to entery ordinary gain/loss information. Should be much easier.

Much More Difficult than in the past

I "downloaded" the update for the 2013 software 4 times. It would not allow me to download the Virginia forms and it would not transmit my tax return electronically. I could not figure out how to reach a turbotax professional on your website.
