Found it inconvenient upon resuming preparation that program did not pick up where I stopped ------ had to go through items/areas previously completed.
Will definitely use again next year.
What's great about it: Walk through steps seemed thorough but easy to follow
What's not so great: Changed computers during year and found it difficult to get current year to pick up data from prior year's return..

If you have someone to do your taxes, let them do it. esp. if its your first time using turbo tax. its user friendly yet time consuming with many updates needed in order to finish filing. took too long.
What's great about it: User Friendly

I've used TurboTax for the past 11 years. My refund has always been direct deposited exactly 9 days after the day I file electronically.
What's great about it: Very easy to navigate.
What's not so great: None.

Basic Rocks, State is Meh

TurboTax saved me more money than I thought I was going to based on my own work. This surprised me because my situation is such that I thought it was as simple as possible (I'd already filled out a 1040EZ).
This is for the Federal taxes. For state taxes, I didn't fill out my own paper work, but based on what I saw, it wasn't worth buying. The exemptions on the state taxes are obscure and probably don't apply to most people.
What's great about it: Saved More Than It Cost On Fed
What's not so great: State Taxes Do Not Require Tax Preparation Help

TurboTax is unbelievably easy to use. It is user friendly, even for someone who has never personally done their own tax return. It is safe and accurate!

My Look at TurbTax

Having used TurboTax for several years, I probably could have filled out the information without the Guided tour and questions. Not wanting to miss anything, I chose the guided tour and it worked very well. However, I chose to list my deductions instead of taking the standard deduction, which was a mistake. At some point there should have been a choice to move on to the standard deduction.
After entering my information it appeared the program was ready to print my tax return, however instead there was a procedure for ordering for next year and other distractions. So I stopped and closed the program to take care of other necessary activities knowing I could come back to it later.. TurboTax should be recognized well enough that I would reorder without the ordering procedure being injected into my tax preparation.
What's great about it: Orderly procedure to Guide through Tax prepararation
What's not so great: Could have avoided deduction procedure

Best Program Ever

I have always used Turbo - Tax and will continue too. I had to do vouchers for estimated taxes this year and I did not no what to do. The online help showed be how to do it, and it was easy. Thanks turbo tax for the many years of easy tax filing.
I also like the audit defense, glad I never had to use it.
Keep up the good work, and see you again next year!

Excellent-as always

When I loaded Turbotax, I was not asked or prompted to do an update in order to download all the changes that happened after the disc was prepared. Later I had to ask for help in order to get the proper form for my sales tax deduction.
When I was ready to print the return, it was a little confusing as to whether you were telling me to save the return or print it. I decided to save to PDF and then print the return. You might want to review these instructions to make them a little more clear as to whether you are printing the return or saving it for file.
What's great about it: nothing's left out - it's like having your own CPA
What's not so great: Two minor problems which I'll discuss below
