Why I use TurboTax

I've been using TurboTax since it came out. This is a great product that has gotten better with time. I really like the "extras" - how my return compares to national averages, what's my chance of being audited, etc. I plan to continue to use TurboTax to file my returns, I see no reason to switch.
What's great about it: The guide is easy to follow, I have never been audited. Don't make too many more enhancements, the program works great!
What's not so great: None!

What's great about it: Financial Downloads a real help
What's not so great: Couldn't find my bank PNC on list

2013 Tax Completed & Filed

Always like using TT & Intuit products. Easy to use, great info source for questions and answers easily understood. I would look to improve the following:
Not all of our 2012 TT return was populated in the 2013 fields.
This was the first time paying electronically and didn't see in the filing instructions right away; was prepared to send a check with the voucher. I do prefer to pay electronically; needed to go back then find the payment transmit info.
Thought at first we had to do "electronically" signatures; but found out we select PIN#'s and that seemed to work OK.
We use TT for our Business Tax and Intuit for payroll processing.
Thanks very much; we'll use TT next year

What's great about it: Have used TT for at least 15 years always with good results.
What's not so great: Filing & paying instructions could be a bit more clear regarding options to pay by mail or electronically.

Easy and complete!

Have used Turbo Tax for many, many years and it continues to get easier and better. It helps one organize their taxable income and deductions and fills out all of the forms for you with associated worksheets. Easy to file; quick to get a refund!
What's great about it: Interview Process addresses all taxable situations
What's not so great: Nothing not to like

A Number of Issues

I've used Turbo Tax for years. This year was not as good as previous. I had continuous updater issues and frequent slow response. I will continue to use unless next year's version is problematic.
What's great about it: Don't have to be 'tax fluent'
What's not so great: Updater issues this year

Why was Online version different this year?

Have always used the free online version in previous years. This year the online versions were different than the desktop versions and I did not know this until I reviewed some of the help questions. TurboTax needs to make it clear that they are not the same product! Glad I checked because I would have been required to upgrade to the most expensive online version (home and business) whereas I was able to switch to the CD Basic version and save a lot of money! Otherwise, Turbo Tax is excellent.
What's great about it: As always, very easy to use
What's not so great: Had to switch to CD version due online version different

Surprizingly easy

I have always had my taxes completed by a commercial service because I was too intimidated and thought that I may make a mistake and frankly, I did not want to put myself through all that hassle. But the cost of the service has become too high for me to justify continuing to be lazy. I have heard good things about Turbo Tax and they were correct. I am extremely happy and satisfied by my experience. Thank you!
