Help with the inevitable

I've used TurboTax for many years and never had a real problem ... I don't try to synch with Quicken (which I've also used for many years) --- trying to get all of the entries aligned right seems a bit of a pain.
For many years I used the guided entry sequence, but that is much easier if you have all of the materials from institutions to get it going (and even easier if you can download from the institutions) ... but, since I often get a refund, I push the envelope (out the door? .. no I use eFile) to get the forms submitted early (Feb. 1 if I can)
Now days I skip around in December, entering what I can and making sure my Jan. Estimated tax payment appears to be "OK"... so for that it can be easier to take your own path though the entries.
Occasionally I need to go to the forms directly. For some reason this year I needed to do that to have my refund applied towards next years taxes. But that is uncommon.

What's great about it: Covers the full set of my needs from some consulting and full time employment to investment impact
What's not so great: Synchronizing with the financial institutions (but mostly because the institutions are late in getting content online)

good for second time

it helped me a lot on doing taxes and for the second time it was easy to do but some of the new stuff got confusing but overall still willing to use turbo tax in the future

Simple and Fast

Have used TurboTax for many years and will continue to recommend it for anyone. Will I do someone else's taxes with it? No. Liability issues if that someone who is not quite honest. They can buy their own program and accept the responsibility.
What's great about it: Easy to understand questions
What's not so great: It generated an additional W-2 form that had to be deleted in order to e-file.
