I Always Count on TurboTax

I live in Texas, work in Texas and earn all of my income in Texas. I believe that TurboTax early on that I live, work and earn in Texas. But it still asked me about a TEXAS State filing about 6 or 7 times. It asked about Texas State Income Tax (there is none) and then it asked about my state sales tax rate.
You asked how it could be better and easier.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, Flexible
What's not so great: A few ads to upgrade but not bad!!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax Freedom does not permit importing info from your broker. This caused an error at review. Thanks to a great helper at Turbo Tax we got the problem resolved. It took over 2 hours though to accomplish this.
What's great about it: Have used turbo tax for years & think it is very good.
What's not so great: Using turbo tax freedom not so good.

Eased my anxiety

I have to say that except for having to input the data by hand (my fault, the electronic 2012 return was not available) I am filled with anxiety only because it was so easy this year. Every year there has been a snag, an unexpected unknown, but this year I will breathe when and only when I get my refund because it was too easy.
What's great about it: The help given and ease of navigating even better than last year which was very good
What's not so great: Still some ambiguity in spots

Least painful way I've found to do income tax.
What's great about it: Step-by step guidence, down-loads from financial institutions
What's not so great: Taxes are still a pain in the a**; come on congress-people, how about a federal sales tax?

Best tax software on the market

I've been using turbotax for years! Software imports info from previous years so there's less time spent entering personal bio information. Quick and easy! Do your taxes in an hour!
What's great about it: User friendly, saves info from previous years
Pros: I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Will continue to use Turbo Tax for as long as it continues to be easy to follow and cost effective.
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions
