had a little trouble with forms that had not been updated. Once I updated TT, all was well. Thought you did a great job this year!
What's great about it: Seems pretty thorough
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

My umpteenth year with Torbo Tax

Turbo Tax software has always amazed me with the thoroughness of its preparation forms. While my returns may not be as complicated as those of many others, I'm sure I would have needed the help (and cost!) of a tax professional without Turbo Tax.

Worst Computer filing ever

Program left me hanging as updates would not update.
Finally got it to work. Not user friendly as tax cut and tax act that I used in prior years.
Been using computer tax program since inception (15 years or so ??)
This one was worst ever.
Should warn everyone that this is not complete and give better instructions for updating.

Explanations

Turrbo Tax does not ask for explanations during the interview or while entering data, but then calls the lack of IRS required statementsas errors during error check. It would be much easier to enter these expplanations while entering the data.

TurboTax Basic 2013

Overall I like TurboTax. I have used the product successfully for the past 16 years. The last 2 years I have gotten an error in the final check process. The error involves the local estimated tax section. I have to re-enter the "total payments" have I already entered this data previously during the step-by-step question process. I would like this feature to be fixed/improved in future versions.
What's great about it: 1. good step by step process, 2. easy to use, 3. lets you move back to confirm or correct information
What's not so great: Local tax estimates section needs improvement.
