Another satisfying year.

Turbo tax is just that, gets your taxes done fast and accurately. I used it for the past 15 years. It makes completing taxes as good as you can expect.
What's great about it: Accurate, Handles a txt file with no problems.
What's not so great: A few too many screens at time.

Online version is awful for foreign filing

Ilive n Berlin. When I had finished the online program it refused to transmit the federal form electronically on the grounds i had no state and valid zip code. The program had failed to Transfer the Country and postal code from the personal Information. It then did not allow manual entry of the country. This cost me enormous frustration and 3 hours to set straight with the aid of customer support, which aided me in downloading the program to my harddrive.
What's great about it: good support when online program was defective
What's not so great: oneline program defective
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Ease of Filing

I'm an accountant with fairly simple returns that I could easily do myself but choose to use Turbo Tax. In addition to ease of completing and filing the return I appreciate having the information compared to the previous year and automatically filing in the basic information. It's also very helpful that all the tax forms are printed from the software so you don't have to run to the library and/or in some cases actually have to hunt down the form from the IRS and print it. Turbo Tax is great and will always be a part of my tax filing. I love being able to save the return and worksheets to one pdf file for storage!
What's great about it: Import information from last year's return, ease of completing and filing.
What's not so great: Cost

Best Tax Program

Bought H&R Block, thought it would save money since it is less expensive than Turbo Tax. My mistake! Not as easy to use, and when I called for online support, they were not helpful at all, couldn't even get past trying to register the product ( I had bought the program at a store and they kept referring me to the online download registration!) I finally had to buy Turbo Tax so that I could finish my taxes! I will never ever try any other program but Turbo Tax for the future. BTW, I hired an accountant to do my taxes a few years back and they charged me hundreds of dollars. I had to gather all the information and forms and put it on their forms that was at least 30 pages long! I could have spent that time just inputting the data into Turbo Tax myself!
What's great about it: Easy to use, good back up support
What's not so great: Can't really think of any

quick & simple

This version is perfect for me. I don't require a complicated and extensive program since I just have a couple of W2s, mortgage interest, & some charitable contributions. I like that e-file comes with it.
