need added forms for us expats

As an expat living in Canada, we are very numerous...and need a lot of help with our US taxes, especially since every year the US taxes are becoming more complex for us. I suggest a version just for expats, maybe with built in audit protections, with special help for us. We need to file forms 5471 because of a small business, NOT in Turbo tax yet -- PLEASE ADD THIS form set, if only a copy that we can fill in so we can eFile!!!! Also, it would be great to get more help with the 1116, especially for the adjustments needed for qualified divs and capital gains. Could you have a place to tick that a dividend/interest is foreign upon entry, so TT could add up & calculate your real percentages and also adjust...
What's great about it: easy to use for US based
What's not so great: lacks 5471, enough help for 1116 etc etc

Saved by itemizing deductions

Overall a good experience. Program getting very complex and is very slow to load.
What's great about it: Walk-through of all income and deduction sources. Importing information.
What's not so great: None to report except program is too large and slow.

Excellent program!! I have been a Turbo-Tax user for many years and will continue to use the software.

foreign account problems

This form must be filed with the 1040 but for some unexplained reason Turbo tax does not allow it to be efiled.
What's not so great: does not allow efile if 8621 must be filed

Still the Best Program

I prepare taxes for seniors as a volunteer for AARP" and find Turbotax easier to use with my own return, although entering data on the IRS-sponsored program is more efficient. However, complicated entries like Foreign tax credit are difficult.
With the IRS program, complicated stock sales information can be e-filed as a PDF file with the return, eliminating the need to send in these data separately, ad I think Turbotax should explore this option.

I don't know what I would do without this great program. I have doing taxes using this program for years.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
