I had to file an extension this year and was unable to find the form on the TurboTax list of forms nor could I find instructions in the search menu. By filing it manually it prevented me from efiling.
What's great about it: Generally easy to use.
What's not so great: The forms to file for an extension weren't in a logical place.

I spoke with Keisha [sic] on the phone for over an hour and she helped me every step of the way with all my questions. She knew exactly what to do, and was extremely helpful in troubleshooting my State Tax returns. Not only did she help me fill everything out correctly and answered my questions VERY patiently, she helped me save money by not having to pay again, since I had already e-filed before, and my claim was rejected. A+++++
Also, before that, I was helped by Cassidy on the phone on a previous call. Overall, I love TurboTax, and will recommend it to everyone.
What's great about it: Front-to-back, total knowledge of all questions and issues
What's not so great: I LIKED EVERYTHING
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Difficulties with Foreign accounts

The process was generally easy. The only problem was when I stumbled into form 8938. I had to redo the entire return. Please think about your fellow expats...
What's great about it: great if you live in the US and do not have to deal with foreign assets
What's not so great: Form 8938 needs much more guidance

Over all, an easy process with more than adequate help along the way... Hey, I'm not an accountant, but with Turbo Tax, you don't have to be.
What's great about it: Step by step easy... easy...easy
What's not so great: none (really, honestly)
Pros: I bought or sold investments

routing to proper entry form for some data would be helpful. Sum may be seen on a form, but had difficulty finding where raw data was entered. improved links or direction would help
What's great about it: easy step is easy; running tax due total excellent
What's not so great: difficulty in finding entry point if correction needed for some items

Undetected errors in Form 1116

I tried everything to get eFile to accept my return with two 1116s. Nothing worked. PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCT SO THAT IT WILL CATCH THE ERRORS THAT PREVENT A RETURN WITH 2 COPIES OF FORM 1116 FROM BEING ACCEPTED. I finally deleted the second copy (which caused the first copy not to be submitted with the return) and eFile accepted it, although I don't believe it's as accurate as it would have been if the return had been submitted with both 1116s.
What's great about it: Did all the calculations
What's not so great: Form 1116 repeatedly rejected
Pros: I bought or sold investments
