I always do the "interview" and as usual it considered every possible situation. I'm confident it left no stone unturned. My taxes seem to get a little more complicated each year and this year for the first time I encountered two adjustments to interest income on bonds from the same payer. The adjustment screen for this didn't provide for two adjustments, so I called tech support. Todd was very diligent in searching for a solution and in the end found a work around that did the job.
One change I would make. The screen to apply your refund toward next year's taxes should be in the same area where you decide whether you want your refund by check or direct deposit. That's a more logical place than under Other Tax Situations.
All in all I was happy with the way Turbo Tax handled my somewhat complex return.

What's great about it: Tech support very helpful
What's not so great: Difficult to find where to apply refund to next year's estimated tax.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have been a Turbo Tax customer for many years. I have always appreciated the question and answer format which makes it very easy to complete the necessary forms.

Data Entry Process

I was able to enter my Schedule D data, but there was no column on screen to display my gain or loss by individual transaction. This made the checking process longer and more difficult.
What's not so great: Schedule D entries do not calculate

Printing problem

I've never had a problem printing my return before but this time the printing stopped half way into the third page. I ended up wasting alot of paper and ultimately printed one page at a time!
What's great about it: Love the ease of walking through the itmes
What's not so great: printing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Always the MAX refund!!

I always use TurboTax. It's easy, fast, no brain filing.

What's not so great: There were a couple of times the walk-thru confused me and I had to go back.

I have used Turbo-Tax since 2005 and it and associated products are the best I have seen. The process is intuitively useful and self explanatory. there are more features available than I may ever need to use but there has never been a feature I needed that wasn't available. To me, that is the power of Turbo-Tax.
