Great Software--Turbo Tax

Have used Turbo Tax for years. Gets better every year. Nice to have information carried forward each year so you do not have to start over.
What's great about it: Always easy to work with, saves lots of time.

turbo tax used to be better. it used to be easier to use. there is surely at least one badly formatted screen, which mislead me and wasted about 4 hours of my time. Turbo tax used to have a better help center. now we cant even call for help any more. instead we have to write onto a FAQ user board that does not provide any help at all. Very disappointing. I probably will switch to a different tax program next year, and I have used Turbo Tax for numerous years.

What's not so great: the handling of 1099-R from a life insurance cash out is extremely bad and misleading.

Speed things up

You should have a point in the program that we can select "Take Standard Deduction" without having to list all of the hopeful deductions.
What's great about it: Asks for all information
What's not so great: Should be able to bypass some data that does not apply to me.

Problem

I spent about 3 to 4 hours on the phone trying to fix my problem with no success. I then tried a system restore. It worked!! I've successfully filed my return.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Update creasted a magor problem

I think this is the 8th or 9th year I have used TT. I love using it and always find it impressively easy to follow. It is very intuitive and helpful. The additional help section is useful. Keep up the good work because I will have to keep paying taxes!!
What's great about it: Easy to follow, consistently accurate,
What's not so great: I found it difficult to find my return after having worked on it and saved it!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
