For my purpose this was the easy way to go. No frills, just follow the bouncing ball.
What's great about it: EASY TO FOLLOW

Turbotax requires that you declare all Civil Service Retirement income as taxable. In fact, it is not all taxable. It then generated distribution to be removed (from my total contributions). Turbotax makes this calculation but is hidden until you review. This is different from previous versions.
What's great about it: Carries all previous info forward to next year. Especially helpful for small business.
What's not so great: Civil Service Retirement income should not be lumped w/ other plans that required distributions. Input confusing.

I have been using Turbo Tax (and MacInTax previously) for many years now, and have no problems or complaints.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax did not ask me about additional income and I got a notice from the IRS from last year regarding Social Security income. I was unaware I had to pay tax on my husband's social security income based on my income. I feel for the price of the software, that question should have been specifically asked. I will not purchase Turbo Tax again. I don't need it.
