I already own a oval slow cooker, a electric pressure cooker, sous vide rig, and an 8 quart roaster, but at the last family function my cousin brought some meatballs in one of these. I decided to get one. Who doesn't love the endless possibilities of a 9 x 13 slow cooker? It's brilliant! I've been making all sorts of things. It's so easy to cook everything from low cal Egg Beater quiches to deconstructed stuffed cabbage casseroles (so much easier than rolling them up). Chicken thighs are fantastic any way you prepare them and it makes it so much easier. The best part is that whatever you would bake in the oven is cooked very evenly, and ready to serve on your counter. Compared to a regular slow cooker, your food is much more presentable. Cleanup is super easy since nothing really burns on. The casserole crock is a little unwieldy, but I've been very careful when washing it. I don't put it in the dishwasher since a short soak and soft scrub cleans it right up. I have to confess, to get the free shipping, I actually bought two. I figured there are times when we host parties that two casseroles would be perfect. My next experiment is going to be bread pudding. I think it will be great. The basic cooking technique with this cooker is 3 hours on high, or 5 hours on low for whatever you make. You should buy one.

I made a special trip to purchase this for tomorrow and upon opening it I noticed the lid was not assembled correctly and the locking mechanism fell off. It was critical that we use it early but we must return it because quality control did not catch this problem. Very Disappointing.

I'm more of a casual user of the pot, maybe once a month for parties and potlucks. This was great for taking my always requested chicken buffalo cheese deep for Halloween and will be using it for mashed potatoes at the family Thanksgiving. The locking lid makes all the difference.
One thing I would love to see from the designers at Crock-Pot, a divided insert for the casserole crock pot so you can have two separate dishes going at once.
Pros: the locking lid works great!
Cons: reynold's crock pot liners don't fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great Crock Pot for making your family dinner in or to make something to carry to a potluck dinner.I like how it has the locking lid that holds the lid in place and prevents spills when traveling. Also included is a cord wrap that keeps the cord in place. The stoneware is 3.5 quarts, removable and oven-safe.Stoneware and lid are dishwasher safe. I have enjoyed cooking with it and my family has enjoyed the food.I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys cooking with a Crock Pot. I was sent this product to sample and review.

Delighted to have a new way to make a great lasagne!

I used this for the first time today to make a fabulous lasagne, using: whole wheat pasta uncooked in the recipe, my own sauce and lots of vegetables. The results are superb, cooked on the low setting for 3 hours. Moist, and delicious but holds its shape when cut. The one feature I would like to see on this appliance is an automatic timer to turn the appliance off when not home to do it. For the price, however, you cannot beat the quality of this rectangular cooker. Looks beautiful on the table.
Pros: cooks quickly and evenly, beautiful quality product
Cons: lacks a timer to shut off the appliance.

Hairline Fracture in Crock only after 4 uses

I am the Crockpot Queen, I saw the Casserole Crock-pot and just had to have it, I was so excited, I posted pictures of it and said I was very excited. This crockpot made it number 13 in my crockpot family, I have various crockpots that I use every week, every Football Sunday I have at least 6 of them in use. Last night I used the Casserole Crockpot for only the 4th time, when I was cleaning it I noticed a hairline fracture in the crock, I was so disappointed, I just couldn't believe it. Some of my crockpots are 20 years old and I have never had a problem with any of the crocks cracking. Very disappointed, I had such high hopes for this Crock-pot....
Cons: hairline fractures in crock only after 4 uses

Lightweight and easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks great, cooked very even, lightweight so very portable so great for potlucks and came clean ridiculously easy! My first time using I had browned cheese that wiped out easily. Recipe book has some good ideas but normal slow cooker recipes take some minor conversions to fit in the shalow rectangular casserole dish if you use this as your only slow cooker. I have multiple so this is not a problem for me.
Pros: easy to clean, lightweight
