[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works ok, feels cheap, yup it is poorly made. Control knob broke on 3rd use. Handles feel weak (even without the dish inserted since it cannot carry the weight if the dish is full). Handle has hairline cracking or breaking already. Worked ok, looks ok, poorly made.

This unit has little tiny rubber feet. If pushed at all on the counter top they tear and break off. They are also so shallow that when the unit is hot it is so close to your counter top it gets very hot. I returned mine because the feet ripped off. Why did they not put hard 1/4 inch feet on it like all my other units. Great idea and rest of the unit. I did a bean dip it was perfect and a lasagna. Was looking forward to doing my artichoke dip but, I Returned it got have feet or it will burn counter top for sure. Better come up with a better design on the feet/legs. Then will purchase again, if someone else does not have one before crock pot gets smarter.
Pros: great idea, feet on unit awful

Bubbles in Glazing, Had to Return

I haven't had the opportunity to use my new Crockpot yet (I was so excited and wanted to make stuffed cabbage in my new unit). But I had to return it because the crock wasn't completely covered in glazing. I hope the next pot won't have defective glazing. Check yours over before you leave the store. I'm sure bacteria could build up in those spots that aren't glazed. Looks like they rushed production. I've been using Crockpots since the 70's when they first came out. I still have my original that was a bridal shower gift. I Love that old pot, it doesn't get as hot as the new ones. I hope they keep an eye on their quality control. This promises to be a great product if they can just make it right.
Pros: fantastic shape just what we cooks needed
Cons: poor/defective glazing

I had high hopes for this product, but my husband and a guest ( separate occasions) were burned because the outside of the dish becomes very very hot when touched. - not going to use this one in the near future...glad there are no children in our house!

HOT! HOT! HOT! Possible Danger

I have only used once (last week at my friend's house) and liked it except for one thing. The sides and bottom get too hot. Used on high setting for only about 2 and a half hours on a Formica-type counter top. The counter was extremely hot when I lifted the crock-pot casserole up. I'm afraid that if I'd left it there much longer, it would have damaged the counter (or possibly even started a fire). I would recommend, but with a warning about how hot it gets. Ordered one for my friend. She used it today (I was there) on a butcher block table with two layers of silicone hot pads under it. It dried the wood in some places of the table leaving whitish marks of the design of the hot pads. So, USE WITH EXTREME CARE. I'm a little concerned that there might be some defect as I've read many reviews and only a couple said anything about their crock-pot casserole getting overly warm or hot. Would like to see a digital control instead of the button that turns to Off, Low, Hot.and Warm.
Pros: love the shape and size., love that you can use in the oven., cord wrap., like that lid locks.
Cons: gets way to hot on the outside., wish stoneware insert weren't quite so heavy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my casserole slow cooker for Christmas and I love it. In a busy household we still make it a priority to sit down together for dinner. This piece of kitchen equipment will allow us to do that at a more reasonable hour with a nutritious, hot meal. I love the flexibility and look forward to using it for a long time. Thanks!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to receive this as a Christmas gift. I had never seen one before. I used it for the first time today. I started smelling something about 30 minutes after I turned it on and discovered my counter was extremely hot and I had to put a stoneware underneath the cockpot so as not to burn my counter. I was very disappointed. I have several crockpot products and I really like the products. I will continue to use this but will always have to use my stone ware and caution others about not getting burned.
