So glad I went ahead and got two because the casseroles you can make and put cheese on top make sure everyone gets a piece with melted cheese. Then in the other you can make the best dessert. Walla! Grab a bag of salad and you can either easily head to someone's house or have a dinner that you can let cook as you enjoy your company. With the way they lock closed make traveling a breeze.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few months ago & i love it. I line the fact ut is lower and I can do food for parties and so forth. It makes it so much easier with the size being larger & flat.. the lid locks for travel and seals tight. No chance if spilling

Love This Crockpot

I was shopping for a regular bowl shape crockpot with a locking lid. I found that but then this crockpot was on the shelf and I decided to buy it too. I actually use this oblong pot the most. I have oven baked recipes I have had for years and this is the perfect container to bake in then put in the base for keeping warm and taking to a potluck. I am thinking about buying a second one because it is so versatile and sometimes I take two dishes. I belong to a private club where the women bring in dishes for various charity occasions and family funeral dinners. This has been the perfect crockpot for taking a dish because you can fix from scratch or bake in it like a regular casserole dish. It is great and I hope Crockpot keeps manufacturing this size. Many women have seen this crockpot and wanted one like it.

The casserole crock is a terrific idea but I am having trouble figuring out the cooking time for various casseroles. I would love to have some recipes that would help me gauge my cooking time.

I loved my casserole. I say loved because the lid slid out of the drainer and smashed on my kitchen floor. I can't seem to find a replacement lid on this or any other replacement part website. Buying a new one is expensive. So I have the crock and the base sitting in a cupboard.

I like the unit but if you like to use liners then you are out of luck. I could not find any liners that can accommodate this unit. Had I known this I don't think I would have purchased it. Very frustrating.
