GREAT FILTER

THESE FILTERS ARE AMAZING. WE HAVE WELL WATER. I PERIODICALLY SEND OUR WATER FROM THE WELL AND THEN FROM OUR REVERSE OSMOSIS FILTER AND OUR REFRIGERATOR FILTER TO THE LAB FOR EXTENSIVE TESTING. THE GE FILTER CLEARS OUT ALL OF THE IMPURITIES.

MTF Replacement Filters are junk!

I have installed and reinstalled 3 brand new GE MWF filters and each one has worked for a few gallons drawn and then they start a very loud "knocking" noise that is unbearable! I always fill them with water until the air bubbles stop, then install. I am out of options but I will NEVER buy another GE refrigerator!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The filter was easy to remove old and install new. a little pricey but it was GE part so I would not expect any issues.

Messed up how my water dispenser works. Changing a filter shouldn’t create problems.

The filter vibrates constantly

I have installed it several times and it still vibrates like air is trapped

I THINK IT COST TOO MUCH AND YOU DON'T NEED TO CHANGE IT EVERY YEAR. I CHANGE MINE EVER FIVE YEARS. IT HAS TO HAVE SOMETHING IN THE SPOT

Ordering the filter was an easy smooth process. The new filter arrived in a timely manner with easy to install instructions. You could definitely tell the water from refrigerator was clear and tasted better.
