Was out of country some years ago and my said the ice maker no longer worked, it had been about 2+ years since buying the frig. Got home, found the filter to be clogged, ordered a new one, signed up for the automatic six month replacement and that has be years ago. Thank you.

My old refrigerator had a filter that was a big, wet mess to change. This filter is so easy to remove and reinsert and there is absolutely no water to clean up. The filter itself works great, but I'd wouldn't expect anything less from GE!
