This is my second filter. The first one worked well, too, but I could tell the time to change it was near, as the water flow decreased quite a bit the last month of use. The water does taste much better when using the filter. I live in a place with really hard water and a decent amount of chlorine, so a good filter is very important. While I w tempted to buy compatible filters offered on major sites, I decided my health is more important and that the NFS certification provided with the real GE filter is worth the extra money. Would I like to buy these authentic filters for less? YES, definitely. They are a bit pricey, and I hope GE will be able to offer them fo rless in the future. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, because I know the product is effective, but do not know to what extent it filters pollutants/chemicals out unless I had my water tested. I do recommend this product.

The flavor from the water is real, is different as when you buy a generic filter. Is the first time that I use the original filter and you can feel the difference.

What can I say, its a water filter. It works exactly how it is supposed to work. If your fridge uses there and you havent replaced yours, you should do it asap.
