It's a water filter

Fits perfect with no leaks. A bit malodorous for the first few weeks, but either I've gotten used to it or it's faded.
You'll find lots of knock-off brands, but they come with their own risks that I wanted to avoid.

The ordering process was extremely easy and installing the filter was easy as well. It literally took me 30 seconds to take the old filter out and install the new one.

The GE MWFPs are not cheap but do a great job of filtering water. The cheap ones do not fit properly and tend to break the fixture in the refrigerator where you screw in the filter. It is worth spending the money for a quality filter.
I would recommend this to a friend!
