I'd tried some "discount" models of water filter but frankly decided I'd better buy the real thing. I trust the GE brand.

I love the reminders to order my filter. When I then order, it gets here super quick and installs easily. I just wish there were a way to return/recycle the old one.

MWF not the same

The MWF filter has been redesigned and no longer works with my older model GE refrigerator. I'm very disappointed in the filter, but i still love my refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The filter works for ice production, but the water dispenser on the front of the fridge just shoots out a drop of water, and then quits
