Did not work properly

The water filter that I bought said that after I installed it and run 3 gallons of water thru it that I could push the reset button and the red light would go off and it has not yet and I have had the filter for close to 3 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got my filter thru the mail it work 1 day. Nice ice n water. I filled 3 pitchers full of water as advised. Now tiny ice cubes n no water. Omg. I have to call n find out what to do about issue.

The light will never go off!

Refrigerator was great until the change filter light came on. I replaced the filter and followed the directions but the light remains on. This should have been designed so that the process of removing the old filter and inserting the new one resets the light. Poor design.

Thought purchasing a genuine filter from GE would work hassle free but not the case. After installing this filter I noticed the water dispensed slowed down very much. Had to remove both O rings from male end on refrigerator to get water flow back to normal.

It leaked!

We had to re-install our old filter, as this began to leak about 12 hours after installation, and got everything in our refrigerator soaking wet. Quite a mess.
