Does Not Filter Trihalomethanes, Known Carcinogens

The MWFP does not filter out Trihalomethanes which are known carcinogens produced from chlorine use as a decontaminate by many water authorities across the nation. This filter has a lot of good qualities but falls short of eliminating Trihalomethanes carcinogens.

Exceptionally poor

There was nothing wrong with our brand new refrigerator and filter. Then we installed a replacement filter. The refrigerator and the filter now rattle whenever someone tries to get water. We looked at a myriad of articles on how to fix this we’ve even watched several YouTube videos. Nothing seems to help. I’m going to have to source a water filter from another place. This is exceptionally Unsatisfactory.

This is the worst filter ever!

This filter has to be changed every week because it clogs so quickly that it stops allowing water to dispense & stops making ice proper ice cubes that quickly. What a disappointment!

Works fine, but why did GE stop recycling them?

I live alone and don't use a ton of drinking water, so changing my filter twice per year is just about the right amount of time before it gets clogged and pours out too slowly. I am VERY unhappy that GE discontinued its filer recycling program. Unless reversed, this WILL cause me to buy a non-GE refrigerator next time.

First time GE owner

Recently moved into a new home and inherited a GE fridge which is about 4 years old. The water in the house has a taste that no one likes and we hoped that changing the filter in the fridge would fix that. Unfortunately the filter did not eliminate the bad taste. Due to other poor design features we will probably change the fridge next year anyway.
