MWF or XWFE?

My GE refrigerator, model # DSE25JSHECSS, has a MWF type filter in it. I purchased a XWFE filter. The XWFE is smaller in diameter where it attaches/screws up into the refrigerator. Did I purchase the incorrect filter? I'm assuming that I did, but wanted to ask before unpackaging the new filter. Thanks.

We want to help go over this with you. There are select models of the DSE25JSHSS that use XWFE models, specifically models that are manufactured after September 2018. If you have a model manufactured before that, it will use a MWFP filter.

Not packaged well for sending

I always ordered them online.I always order three and this time they were all in the same mailing pouch but not in a single box. The packaging they were sent in was not very substantial like it usually is.
