I purchased this filter based on recommendations from the company. Turns out it was the wrong filter for my refrigerator so I am unable to give an opinion on how it works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Made my ice and water dispenser not work.

Did not fit

I purchased 3 GE MWF water filters for my side by side GE refridgerator. I've always purchased Water Drop water filters but tried these from GE. I went to first one in today and it will not tighten. Upon comparing this with the Water Drop model, I noticed the center part that connects is designed differently. The GE Water filter is the correct one according to GE specs. The 3 I purchased will go into trash and Water Drop will be the way to go for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
