I bought this thinking that it was really going to clean the water very well however it really did not do a spectacular job. The Taste was the same and I was kind of disappointed to have spent so much money on a 3 pack and it really did not taste as good as bottled water.

I bought the filter thinking all i had to do was replace the old with the new and that's it. Wrong! Now with the new filter i get no water....the filter constantly freezes, even on the lowest temperature...waste of money...thanks GE!

GE MWF Filters Not lasting

I have had to purchase a new GE MWF filter every 2 months. It will end up costing me more in filters over a couple years than the cost of the refrigerator. Very misleading advertising that they last up to 6 months. We are a three person family with regular water usage and have never had one last over 3 months. At 2 months, the water begins to come out so slowly that you are forced to buy another one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Filter!!!

I've been using these filters for over ten years now. From well water to city water. Have had nothing but great results always clear and odor free water. Using them on well water, I could only get about 3 months out of them. On city water, I replace them yearly. I can say though, after a year on city water I took the old filter off and looked into it and it looked like mud. I am so thankful that I don't drink that "funky water" any more.
