Does the job!

Have had the system for over a year and I replace the filter every three months. I am on a renewal program so I do not have to be concerned about when to replace. It is perfect for me.

I purchased this about a month ago and put it in my frig and the filter light has yet to com on saying its working

Bummer! My water stopped working!

I installed this filter...didn't run the water through right away and when I tried to do it the next day, the water in my fridge didn't work at all! I tightened it, I loosened it, I took it out and put it back in...nothing worked! Unfortunately I threw away the old filter so, I can't tell if it is the new one for sure or not~! I haven't had any problems in the past.....this is a lot of $$ for my whole water system to be out of order now~!

I have no idea what's going on, I bought this filter, always have and never had a problem until now. Water tastes bad, you can feel like it has dust or something because it leaves a funny dusty feeling In ur mouth after drinking water. I purged almost 5 gallons, please help?

Please note, the filter should be installed on the copper tubing that runs from the basement or under the kitchen sink to the refrigerator. GE Appliances does not recommend using plastic tubing for the water supply line. We hope this helps. Thank you, again, for your feedback.
