The days of drinking tap water are long over. We buy bottled water and refill them for a few days with the filtered water from our fridge. Our Keurig needs to use filtered water, so it's convenient for that as well. I've also recently used the filtered water for our dog and cat. You can never be too safe!

I love that GE sends me a new filter every 6 months but I don't appreciate the taste of the water. I still use the filter but won't use it for drinking water; NYC water still tastes better.

Our water tastes great! Do yourself a favor and just set up to have a new one sent every 6 months. You won't regret it.

We needed to change our filter b/c the water was practically trickling out. Put the new filter in and flushed a few pitchers - now we are back to a strong stream.

Used an off brand and it didn't work well and we had sediment pass through. Not with this filter.
