The water after it and before it are the same. Does it really filter?

Made my water taste weird

Prior to installing this filter my water tasted fine. I only replaced my old filter because the replace filter light came on. After the installation my water tasted like chemicals even after running a couple of gallons through it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great water filter

I am very happy with this water filter knowing that it filters out contaminants that might get into the water from improper disposal of prescription drugs, etc. it's great security.

Bought this about a month ago - it was easy to install, and worked immediately. We hadn't replaced it for a while, so now our water comes out much faster!

White flakes coming out

There are white flakes floating in the water ever since I changed the filter. I thought it might go away after awhile and it hasn't.
