I changed the filter when I moved into my new house and it was an easy install and it works great! My freezer has been making ice more than before I changed it!

Had to search for this filter. They (GE) apparently changed the model number so my old one did not come up for sale in the initial search. However, once I found this equivalent it seems to work just fine. Took a week to arrive so don't do like I did and wait until the last minute to order it!

Easiest Water Filter to Change

Love that I have the option of auto shipping to remind me to change every 6 months. Easy to change. The only downside is you have to clear an area on the top shelf to access the area. That is a minimal issue as compared to other model filters.
