The second stove is fine. The first one did not fit into the space due to the stove top being warped or bent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Such an upgrade from our old four-burner! This stovetop has a lot of space and looks great in our kitchen! Makes us want to expedite our kitchen remodel so that we can showcase this appliance!

I've only been using it for a month, but it works well. I'm not crazy about cleaning the stainless cooktop, but I knew that in advance. I love the five burners, and the oven seems to bake evenly. It took me awhile to figure out how the timer works, despite the instructions. It seems to require pushing the start button twice which is odd and annoying. Otherwise, I'm happy with my purchase.

This range is the perfect size with 5 burners, three oven shelves and great features. The grates are easy to remove and the surface is easy to clean without streaking. I made a change after 3 years of struggling with another higher end brand range that was nothing but problems and inconvenience. GE has done a wonderful job with this appliance.
